Bicester and Oxford Riding Club : Waiver of Liability
All events organised by Bicester & Oxford Riding Club (BORC) will be arranged under the following conditions which participating Members should familiarise themselves with and agree to:
1. I am a competent adult and accept sole responsibility for my own conduct and actions.
2. I certify that I have no medical conditions or health concerns that make it dangerous to participate in a safe manner for myself or others.
3. I acknowledge that this Waiver will govern my actions and responsibilities whilst participating in BORC organized events. Further, that my involvement is voluntary and I am acting under my own free will.
4. I can confirm that I have experience riding both on and off-road and can control my horse/pony at: walk, trot, canter, gallop and jumping, whichever is applicable to the BORC event and that I am comfortable riding at these paces. I will ensure that I choose a suitable gait for the area being ridden, taking full account of any other participants, mounted or on foot.
5. I acknowledge that participation in events may be physically demanding and that there is risk of injury to myself or my horse/pony, including the potential for serious bodily injury, permanent disability, paralysis and loss of life. I acknowledge that such risks cannot be eliminated entirely and there is potential for risks and dangers that may not be obvious or reasonably foreseeable.
6. I confirm that I am 100% liable for all medical or veterinary expenses incurred as a result of any injury to myself or my horse/pony or property damaged during my participation in rides and consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed necessary in the event of injury, accident and/or illness whilst taking part.
7. I agree, to the full extent permitted by law, to waive, release, and discharge Bicester & Oxford Riding Club from any and all liability for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft or actions of any kind which may hereafter accrue to me as a result of participating in such events.
8. I confirm that I have read, understand this Waiver and will follow the guidelines established for participation and reasonable instructions given to me by the BORC organiser. I confirm that I have read the BORC Waiver and understand its meaning in relation to any and/or all events which I may participate in which have been organised by Bicester & Oxford Riding Club.
BORC will ensure that all instructors have applicable Public Liability Insurance.
