This cross country training clinic is focused on building confidence and having fun in a relaxed, friendly and encouraging environment. We will aim to start the first session at 8.30am - dependent on numbers - and groups will be limited to a maximum of four. 

Jane Hussell is well known with many years experience. She is a versatile, enthusiastic and knowledgeable trainer teaching all disciplines at all levels, from beginner to seasoned competitor. She will help you gain confidence and get the most out of your riding. 

The Main Cross Country course has a variety of fences ranging from 60cm - 110cm and includes two water complexes, a range of steps, banks and ditches. In addition, we have use of the Mini Cross Country course which is situated in an enclosed field with fences ranging from 15cm – 60cm also including a small bank and a ditch. 

Please let us know what height you are looking to jump, your preferred time and anything you would like to work on when booking.   Whilst we will try, it may not be possible to accommodate every request.  

Clothing Standards

It is a requirement that at all times when participating in BORC activities riders must wear only approved head protection as detailed in the latest version of the British Riding Club rules (BRC Hat Rules 2023) and the chin strap must a MUST be worn with the chin strap correctly fastened at all times when mounted by ALL riders.  A "Jockey Skull" - having no peak or peak type extentions - being required for cross country as well as body protectors which are also are compulsory. Please also wear appropriate footwear.

Cancellation

If you - as the booker - cancel up to 5 days before a clinic you will receive a refund less £5 admin charge. However, if you  cancel within 5 days of the clinic no refund given unless your place can be filled. 

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel an event we will offer alternative arrangements, if these are not acceptable to you we will refund all of the event, but will not be responsible for any other loses incurred.

Bad Weather Conditions: activities might be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions, you should contact the event organiser before you leave for the centre if the weather is in doubt. We reserve the right to cancel riding because of bad weather at anytime. The committee's decision is final.
